After the success of the Musciwriter, an electronic version was created. The result was the Musicwriter II. It was capable of typing both alpha-numeric symbols and musical symbols.
After some research, there doesn't seem to be much about the Musicwriter II, but there is some information that was obtained from a document that presents some details about the Musicwriter II.
The image is taken from the back of an information document about the Musicwriter II.
MUSICWRITER II is shown with optional plug-in disc drive using 3½ inch disc with 720,000 memory and unlimited storage.

Pictured overleaf is the new MUSICWRITER II, successor to the manual MUSICWRITER®, which has been produced by Music Print Corporation since 1955, and used through the world.
MUSICWRITER II employs the printwheel technology (impact printing) in the well-known IBM WHEELWRITER®. With sophisticated electronic modification MUSICWRITER II becomes two machines in one, functioning for words (lyrics, expression, regular typing) as well as for the finest in music printing.
The proven success of the original MUSICWRITER over a third of a century attests to the soundness of that basic approach in producing truly first class music graphics. The new model involves direct print of engraving quality, excellent character design, flexibility of character placement under your decision and control. Added to this are functions made possible by the electronic revolution: memory, lift-off correction, automation of repetitive functions and patterns, immediate programming of temporary repeated patterns, storage, editing, reformatting, return to center line, automatic ledger lines, among many other features.
The philosophy behind the development of MUSICWRITER II is that you are in control of those elements of layout and subtlety of spacing which mark excellent music graphics. Furthermore, you see immediately what you print, and with lift-off correction or deletion you see it now – now you don’t! Excellent music layout is an art and no true artist wants to be told what to do by a machine. Rather, the machine must be responsive to the decisions of the operator. MUSICWRITER II fills this requirement.
In addition to the IBM specifications and functions for the regular alpha-numeric mode, the music mode has the following feature:
Space forward and back (10 pitch).
Half space forward and back.
Micro space (1/6th full space forward and back).
Full space up and down (line and space to space on the staff).
Half space up and down (line to space and space to line on the staff).
Micro space (1/8th full space up and down).
Return to Center Line.
Dead Key Function.
Reverse cursor on correction key (allowing lift-off of whole patterns).
Music print wheel ( 96 characters).
Two staff sizes (regular and cue).
Printing point indicator (peripheral and pin-point).
All functions controlled from the keyboard with access to 6,240 points per square inch.
